The new biomass power plant in Stockholm will be put into operation in February 2016. Innofreight secured a contract to put up a stationary unloading system for the XXL WoodTainer.
This system is a further development of the stationary container unloading machine from Zellstoff Pöls and it enables a one-man operation of unloading of up to 12,000m3 of biomass per day. The unloading machine is located in a multifunctional building, which is also intended for the truck unloading, so that the surrounding area is protected from noise and dust.
Fortum draws on the many years of Innofreight’s experience in the logistics of biomass. Currently there are approximately 6,000 WoodTainers in Europe used for the transportation of wood chips which makes Innofreight the leader in the market.
