Up to six block trains per day transport iron ore to Třinec, Czech Republic, and secure the supply of raw materials for the country’s biggest steel mill.
In December 2023, we completed another major project: at the factory site of Třinecké Železárny – Moravia Steel, the largest Czech steel company, we implemented a stationary unloading machine for the safe unloading of various types of fine ore and iron ore concentrates.
The stationary unloading machine enables the unloading of up to 5 million tons of iron ore per year, with approx. 840 tons being unloaded in one hour. The wagons are shifted by a cable-shunting device called ‘Turtle’. Our stationary unloading machines ensure smooth operation all year and provide a safe workplace. Work is done from an air-conditioned cabin – no noise, no dirt and only one person operating the joysticks, which control the entire system.
In addition to building the unloading machine, we delivered 330 pcs of 2×30 ft InnoWaggons and 1,320 MonTainer XML II. Our lighter wagons and the special containers enable even more efficient utilization of the freight trains and optimize rail transport to Třinec.
