The European Commission has launched a research and development subsidy programme called Horizon 2020 worth a total of 80 billion Euros. The latter’s objective is to produce “intelligent, sustainable and inclusive growth” while improving coordination between national and European economies. It particularly supports small and medium sized companies with growing faster and, in turn, successfully establishing their innovations globally. The EU subsidy initiative furthermore aims at minimising the risk involved in large-scale, complex projects to make sure that good ideas don’t fail in the implementation phase due to overly long run-up periods or costly pro-jects starts.
Innofreight is currently one of eight Austrian companies receiving funding under the EU Research and Innovation programme “Horizon 2020 SME Instrument”. Innofreight’s ITECCO Demo (Innovative Transport Equipment for Coal, Coke and Ore) project was awarded for creating novel railway-logistics system solutions for the European steel industry. The objective of ITECCO Demo is to enhance the implementation of innovations. This refers to not only technical innovations – such as the ones offered by Innofreight – but also to innovations related to corporate processes and developments such as market positioning. Horizon 2020 SME supports Innofreight’s internationalisation, the development of a business structure with local sales organisations. Thus, it will be able to meet your require-ments even more efficiently.
We see this support as a seal of quality by the EU for our innovativeness!
