Specialist (m/f/d) for Certification & Vehicle Engineering (Rail)

Innofreight has been successfully developing innovative wagons, containers and unloading systems for rail freight transport for over 20 years. To strengthen our team, we are looking for a dedicated individual (m/f/d) to take on responsibility for the area of certifications and vehicle engineering.

Your area of responsibility

Regulatory Compliance & Certification Management

  • Research and application of relevant standards, guidelines, and legal requirements
  • Preparation and maintenance of certification documentation
  • Coordination and consultation with authorities, testing institutes, and civil engineers
  • Organization and structured execution of certification processes (including checklists)
  • Collaboration with suppliers and external partners

Vehicle Engineering (Rail Vehicles)

  • Technical assessment and analysis of rail vehicles and components
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings
  • Acting as an interface between production, operations, and technical departments
  • Conducting and overseeing audits (suppliers, production, etc.)
  • Assisting with railcar acceptance inspections and technical assessments
  • Analyzing damage cases, including evaluation and documentation
  • Problem-solving and risk assessment in technical matters

Your profile

  • Completed training in rail vehicle engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field
  • Experience or a solid foundation in vehicle engineering (ideally in the rail sector)
  • Interest in standards, regulations, and technical contexts
  • Structured, precise, and independent work style
  • Strong organizational skills and a high willingness to learn
  • Communication skills and a confident demeanor when interacting with customers and partners
  • German and English at C1 level
  • Willingness to travel (approx. 30–50%, throughout Europe, depending on the season)

We offer an annual gross salary on a full-time basis starting at €42,000.00 (based on the collective agreement for freight forwarding and logistics), with a willingness to pay above the standard rate for candidates with relevant experience and qualifications.
