WoodTainer XXL
Volume-optimized container for light bulk cargo
For the transportation of light bulk cargo (e.g. wood chips or biomass) Innofreight developed WoodTainer XXL. With the length of 20ft and both height and width of 2.9m the container has the capacity of 46m3.
The rail transport takes usually place on a 60ft-container-carrying-wagon in block trains.
The unloading takes place by means of a forklift with a rotator or with a stationary unloading installation.
All containers can be equipped with an Innofreight HardTop.
The stackable WoodTainer are perfectly suitable for pre-loading and also for the combined transport, road transport can take place by means of a truck with a trailer or a 40ft-semi-trailer. Shifting takes place either by means of a reach-stacker, a terminal crane or a conventional forklift.
The advantages of this new transport system can be used by various branches:
- The supplier – with a more flexible in-house usage through direct loading or the possibility of pre-loading
- The forwarder – through a more efficient usage of all vehicles usable for combined transport
- The receiver - through a very easy, efficient unloading with a small number of personnel and low requirements on the infrastructure
